Spray painting delivers the smoothest, most uniform paint finish achievable outside of a factory. Using professional airless and HVLP spray systems, our trained operators apply coatings to walls, ceilings, cabinetry, radiators, and architectural features with an evenness and speed that brush and roller cannot match. Spray painting is ideal for new-build fit-outs, empty property redecorations, and any project where a flawless, texture-free surface is the priority.
About Our Spray Service
There are surfaces and situations where a brush or roller simply cannot deliver the finish a client expects. Large, uninterrupted wall planes in contemporary apartments show every roller mark and lap line. Banks of built-in wardrobes need a consistent sheen across dozens of doors and panels. Radiators have fins and contours that brushes struggle to reach without leaving drips. New-build properties need entire floors decorated to a uniform standard within tight handover timescales. In all of these scenarios, spray painting is the superior method. Our spray painting service uses professional-grade equipment operated by trained specialists who understand atomisation, coverage rates, and the behaviour of different coatings under spray application. The result is a finish of extraordinary smoothness and consistency, free from brush marks, roller stipple, and the subtle variations in thickness that hand application inevitably introduces. Spray painting is also significantly faster than traditional methods on large areas, which makes it a cost-effective choice for whole-property projects despite the additional masking and protection required.

Our Approach
Spray painting requires more preparation than brush and roller work, because overspray must be completely controlled. We mask every surface that is not being painted, including floors, windows, light fittings, ironmongery, and any fixtures that cannot be removed. Masking is carried out with professional-grade tape and static-cling film that leaves no residue when removed. Once masking is complete, our spray operators set up their equipment and calibrate it for the specific paint being used. Different coatings require different tip sizes, pressures, and spray patterns. The operator maintains a consistent distance from the surface and moves at a steady pace, overlapping each pass to build even coverage. For walls and ceilings, we use airless spray systems that deliver high volumes of paint quickly and evenly. For fine work on cabinets and joinery, we switch to HVLP systems that produce a softer spray pattern with minimal overspray. Between coats, surfaces are lightly sanded to ensure inter-coat adhesion and to knock down any dust nibs that may have settled during drying.
Materials & Brands
Spray application is compatible with virtually any paint brand. We regularly spray Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, Benjamin Moore, and Dulux Trade products, adjusting viscosity and equipment settings for each formulation. For cabinetry and joinery, we prefer Benjamin Moore Advance or Renner two-pack lacquer, which self-level beautifully under spray application. For walls, Dulux Trade Diamond Matt and Little Greene Intelligent Emulsion spray exceptionally well. Primers include Zinsser BIN for stain blocking and Dulux Trade Quick Dry Primer for bare surfaces.
Property Considerations
Spray painting is most efficient in empty or largely cleared properties, as the masking required in furnished rooms can offset the speed advantage. For this reason, we often recommend spray painting for properties undergoing renovation, new-build handovers, or situations where rooms can be fully emptied. In occupied homes, we can set up temporary spray booths for cabinet and furniture work while painting walls and ceilings by roller. Properties with good ventilation are preferred for spray work, as adequate airflow aids drying and helps disperse the fine mist that spray application generates. We use extraction fans and air filtration where necessary to maintain air quality.
Why Choose Our Spray Service
Flawless Finish
Spray application produces a perfectly smooth surface free from brush marks, roller texture, and the variations inherent in hand application.
Speed & Efficiency
Large areas are coated significantly faster than by brush and roller, reducing project timelines and on-site disruption.
Versatile Application
From broad wall areas to intricate radiator fins and cabinet mouldings, spray technology adapts to every surface geometry.
Professional Masking
Comprehensive masking with low-tack tape and static film protects every adjacent surface and produces clean, sharp colour transitions.
Equipment Expertise
Our operators are trained in both airless and HVLP systems and calibrate equipment precisely for each paint type and surface.
Our Spray Process
Site Assessment
We evaluate the property, identify which surfaces will be sprayed, and determine the masking, ventilation, and access requirements.
Masking & Protection
Every non-painted surface is covered with professional masking materials, creating clean boundaries between spray areas and protected zones.
Spray Application
Coatings are applied in multiple passes using calibrated spray equipment, building even coverage across all surfaces.
De-mask & Inspection
Masking is carefully removed to reveal clean lines, and every surface is inspected for coverage, consistency, and finish quality.

Spray painting delivers a perfectly smooth, factory-quality finish free of brush marks and roller stipple. It is faster for large areas, covers complex shapes evenly, and produces a superior result on cabinetry, radiators and smooth walls.
Yes, with proper masking and containment. We seal off the spray zone with plastic sheeting and use extraction fans to remove overspray. Adjacent rooms can be occupied normally, though the spray area itself needs to remain clear during application.
We use Graco and Wagner airless spray systems for walls, ceilings and large surfaces, and HVLP (high-volume low-pressure) spray guns for fine cabinetry and detailed woodwork. The equipment is chosen to suit the paint viscosity and desired finish.
Spray application itself is significantly faster — a large room can be coated in under an hour. However, masking and preparation take longer, so overall project time is comparable. The key advantage is finish quality rather than speed.
This is one of our most popular spray services. Doors and drawer fronts are removed, sprayed in a controlled environment and refitted once dry. The result is indistinguishable from a factory finish and transforms dated units at a fraction of replacement cost.
Spray painting carries a modest premium to cover the additional masking, containment setup and specialist equipment. However, the superior finish quality and reduced labour time on large projects often make it more cost-effective overall.
