Fitzrovia Media Office — Out-of-Hours Commercial Repaint

The Challenge

The primary constraint was a zero-disruption requirement: staff would be in the office every weekday, so all work had to begin no earlier than 18:30 and be fully cleaned up and dry before 08:00 the following morning. Low-odour and quick-drying products were essential throughout. The brand feature wall required precise colour-matching to the client's Pantone specification, which we achieved through a custom-mixed Dulux Trade tint.

Our Approach

We divided the office into three zones and tackled one zone per working night, with a final finishing session on the Saturday to complete the feature wall and any touch-ups. All furniture was moved and protected under dust sheets each evening and returned to position before the morning. Walls throughout were finished in two coats of Dulux Trade Diamond Matt, which is scrubbable and dries quickly to a low-VOC finish ideal for occupied buildings. The feature wall in the main studio was primed with Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 and finished in a custom Pantone-matched Dulux Trade tint in the client's signature coral.

The Result

The client's staff arrived on Monday morning to a completely refreshed office with no smell, no residual mess, and no disruption whatsoever to their week. The feature wall has since featured in two interior design publications and became the backdrop for the company's new brand photography shoot.
