Decorating Tyndale Terrace

Tyndale Terrace is a pretty early-Victorian residential street in Islington's Canonbury conservation area, running off Upper Street near the junction with Canonbury Road and lined with two-storey stock-brick cottages and short terraces that retain an unusually village-like scale and intimate character for inner north London. Built in the 1840s, the terrace takes its name from William Tyndale, the sixteenth-century Bible translator, and has long been associated with Islington's literary and artistic community.
