Our Credentials
Accredited, Insured, and Independently Verified
We believe in earning trust through transparency. Every credential listed here is current, verifiable, and maintained to the highest standard.
Why Accreditations Matter
Anyone can call themselves a painter and decorator. There is no legal requirement to hold qualifications, carry insurance, or demonstrate competence before knocking on your door with a quote. That is precisely why professional accreditations exist — they separate the committed professionals from the rest.
At Belgravia Painters, we hold every accreditation voluntarily, because we believe our clients deserve to know exactly who they are inviting into their homes. Each credential listed below has been independently verified and is kept current. We are happy to provide documentary proof of any accreditation upon request.
Public Liability Insurance — £5 Million
Comprehensive protection for your property and possessions.
Our public liability insurance covers up to £5 million, protecting you against any accidental damage to your property, belongings, or any third-party claims arising from our work. This is not a basic policy — it is a comprehensive cover designed for work in high-value residential and commercial properties. Every project, regardless of size, is fully covered from the moment our team arrives.
What This Means for You
You can have complete confidence that if anything were to go wrong — however unlikely — you are fully protected financially. Many painters carry only £1M or £2M of cover, which may be insufficient for premium London properties.
Employer's Liability Insurance — £10 Million
Protecting our team and your peace of mind.
Our employer's liability insurance covers up to £10 million, well above the legal minimum of £5 million. This policy protects our employees in the unlikely event of workplace injury or illness related to their work. It is a legal requirement for any company with employees, yet you would be surprised how many painting firms either lack it or carry only the minimum.
What This Means for You
This tells you that we employ our decorators directly — they are not subcontractors without proper cover. You will never have uninsured workers in your home. It also demonstrates that we invest in our team's welfare and operate as a legitimate, responsible employer.
Dulux Select Decorator
Recognised by one of the world's leading paint manufacturers.
Dulux Select Decorator status is awarded only to professional decorators who demonstrate consistently high standards of workmanship, customer service, and business practice. The scheme involves vetting, customer feedback monitoring, and regular reviews. Not every decorator who applies is accepted, and status can be revoked if standards slip.
What This Means for You
When you hire a Dulux Select Decorator, you are choosing a professional who has been independently assessed and meets the quality standards of one of the world's most recognised paint brands. It provides an additional layer of assurance beyond our own reputation.
CSCS Card Holders
Construction Skills Certification Scheme accredited.
All of our decorators hold valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) cards, which verify that they have the appropriate training and qualifications for the work they carry out. CSCS cards are the industry standard for proving competence on construction and refurbishment sites across the UK. Each card is role-specific and requires passing a health and safety test.
What This Means for You
CSCS certification is increasingly required for work on managed properties, commercial premises, and larger residential projects. It confirms that our team has been formally assessed for competence and health and safety awareness — essential when working in occupied properties.
Trading Standards Approved
Vetted and approved by your local Trading Standards authority.
Trading Standards approval means we have been vetted by a government-backed consumer protection body. The approval process examines our business practices, complaints history, terms and conditions, and overall approach to customer service. It is not something that can be bought — it must be earned and maintained.
What This Means for You
This provides an independent, government-backed verification that we operate fairly, transparently, and to a high standard. If you ever had a concern, Trading Standards provides an additional route for resolution, though our own complaints record speaks for itself.
Checkatrade Member
Verified reviews and transparent customer feedback.
We are proud members of Checkatrade, the UK's leading platform for verified tradespeople. Our membership means that our business has been checked, our insurance verified, and our customer reviews are genuine and unedited. Every review on our Checkatrade profile comes from a real client whose details have been verified.
What This Means for You
Unlike anonymous online reviews that can be fabricated, Checkatrade reviews are tied to real, verifiable projects. You can read honest feedback from previous clients and see our ratings across categories including quality, reliability, tidiness, and value. It provides transparency that protects you as a consumer.
Verification on Request
We are happy to provide copies of our insurance certificates, accreditation documents, and CSCS cards before any project begins. Simply ask your project manager, and we will supply everything you need. Transparency is not an inconvenience — it is how we do business.
